Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks
Located on the rocky coastline between Lamai and Hua Thanon, at the southern end of Lamai beach, Hin Ta and Hin Yai are rock formations reminiscent of the shape of male and female genitalia.
Called Grandfather rock (Ta) and Grandmother rock (Yai), they are the most famous and most visited rocks on Koh Samui.
They were discovered by the local population many years ago.
These rock formations have given birth to a legend that is inscribed on a plaque next to the rocks.
